Kappa Beta 80th Anniversary Celebration

Friday, October 20

5:00 – 7:00 p.m. — Welcome Reception, UAlbany Art Museum
KB brothers, alumni, UAlbany families and friends joined for our welcome reception in the UAlbany Art Museum from 5 – 7 p.m. There was a free shuttle from the Dutch Quad Parking Lot located across from the Alumni House.

7:00-10:00 p.m. — Barnsider Restaurant off Wolf Road, Pre-Celebration of 80th
KB Brothers attended a pre-celebration of KB’s 80th Anniversary and a “Raise High Your Steins ” toast to our KB Brothers who have passed, with a special tribute to Jay Rosovsky ’67.
7:00-8:00 p.m., Cocktails; 8:00-10:00 p.m., Dinner.

Saturday, October 21

9:00 -10:30 a.m. — President’s Breakfast, Campus Center Ballroom, Uptown Campus
KB Brothers, University administration, friends, and alumni kicked off the day’s festivities with a buffet breakfast, including the induction of the Class of 1967 into the Half-Century Club and acknowledgement of the 80th Anniversary of the formation of Kappa Beta.

10:45 a.m. — Sorority/Fraternity Coffee Hour, Alumni House
12:15 p.m. — Recognition of 80th Anniversary of the formation of Kappa Beta
A plaque commemorating KB’s 80th Anniversary and Donation to the UAlbany Foundation was presented. The plaque is now on display at the Alumni House. Photos were taken and will be published in the UAlbany Magazine. The Donation Check was presented at the Tailgate event at 2 p.m.

1:00-3:30 p.m. — KB Tailgate Party at the Great Dane Pre-game, area adjacent to the Bob Ford Field and Tom & Mary Casey Stadium
KB Tailgate Party in a reserved section of the Alumni Tent included a lunch buffet and presentation of the Donation check commemorating KB’s 80th Anniversary.

2:00 p.m. — Donation to UAlbany Foundation presented by Bill Robelee
Photos were be taken and will be published in the UAlbany Magazine.

3:30 p.m. — UAlbany Homecoming Football Game: UAlbany Great Danes vs. Maine, Tom and Mary Casey Stadium
KB Brothers cheered on the UAlbany Great Danes from a special reserved section.
