Kappa Beta Fraternity was organized in 1937 at the State University of New York at Albany (formerly NYS College for Teachers in Albany). Kappa Beta was periodically known for its academic achievers, student leaders, choral groups, intramural athletic teams and terrific parties, but always for its unique cast of characters. Many of KB’s 530+ alumni went on to notable careers and extraordinary achievements. Although the fraternity yielded to social change and disbanded in 1974, generations of KB alumni have enjoyed periodic reunions and continue to share memories and celebrate our bond as B’nai Chaim – Brothers for Life.
